The Department of Pathology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rajkot, was established in 2021. Since its inception, the department has been committed to excellence in academics, diagnostics, and patient care. With continuous expansion and development, the department has grown into a vital pillar of medical education and healthcare services in the region. On December 31, 2021, the Central Pathology Laboratory commenced operations at the permanent campus alongside the initiation of OPD services.

CENTRAL PATHOLOGY LABORATORY

Located in the IPD building, the laboratory is equipped with advanced technologies for accurate diagnostic services:

• Histopathology Section: Fully equipped for processing small and large biopsies.
• Hematology Section: Features automated hematology analyzers and coagulation analyzers alongside HPLC machines.
• Clinical Pathology Section: Dedicated areas for clinical pathology procedures.
